Twinkle lights on wire

November 30:

Happy November 30th. The last day of November, the first day of the Christmas Season! Tonight was the Annual Christmas Tree lighting, we (students, staff, and faculty) gathered around the “fountain” in front of the library as we sang Christmas Carols, drank hot cocoa/cider, and talked. There weren’t too many people there because there was a basketball game, classes, etc. BUT the people that were there were super fun, and we had a blast.

So here is the part where I bring up the moment in the evening that makes it worth writing about, we were supposed to have a fun Christmas skit, with this guy lip syncing to a fast paced song with a bunch of “little kids” (me and friends) dancing around. But tragically the sound system freaked out on us and decided to depart quickly without even playing the CD! It was pretty hilarious, about five of us were standing mid-skit dressed like five year olds with pig-tails and stuffed animals. It was almost completely embarrassing, but a little too hilarious to let it bother us. People chuckled, conversations moved on and I proceeded to head up to the café to rub in the humiliation of my outstanding outfit. Luckily, most people just smiled and nodded at me, so it was ALL GOOD!

Now I am going to hit the books, and actually do some homework as apposed to distracting myself with pointless junk that as hard as I might try WILL NOT make me any smarter!

November 28:

It seems more often than not that my world, along with the worlds of almost every college student in existence, tends to consist of surviving each day. We are so busy chasing our own tails that we forget to look up and laugh. This week has proven to be absolute mayhem: Thanksgiving break ended, and classes resumed as if nothing had happened…everyone came back just as stressed as they had left, but they were happier and full of good food! Today I sit and laugh realizing it is already Tuesday and I have no idea where all of my brilliant ideas went that engulfed my organized pad of paper telling me when to go where and when. You see, I conveniently redecorated my room at my parent’s house over break, rather than doing my homework. SO now I am running around my room in attempts to motivate myself to accomplish a gazillion things. So I am going to open up my Hebrew book and be MOTIVATED! We’ll see how this goes!
